Markers being tested: **Tombow Dual Brush Pens, Crayola Supertips, Crayola Broadtip, Karin BrushmarkerPro, Ohuhu Dual Brush Marker (all of these markers are water based)
These markers did not bleed onto the page underneath, however, there was some ghosting and some bleeding on the back of the page. There was more ghosting/bleeding on the back side with 2 passes of the marker. There were minor streaks in the marker swatch once dry. These markers get a rate of 7 out of 10 (7/10) in this notebook.
There was minor bleeding and heavy ghosting with these markers. The darker colors tend to have more bleeding than the lighter colors. There were some streaks in the swatch once dried. These markers get a rate of 8 out of 10 (8/10) in this notebook.
There was minimal bleeding and ghosting with these markers. One pass of the markers is comparable to the Crayola Supertips. The markers glided easily over the paper but did notice minor streaks once dry. These markers get a rate of 8 out of 10 (8/10) in this notebook.
These markers did have a small amount bleed onto the page underneath. There was heavy ghosting and bleeding with one pass of the markers. Swatch is smooth once the marker dried, not a lot of streaks like with some of the other markers. These markers get a rate of 5 out of 10 (5/10) in this notebook.
There was light ghosting and light bleeding with these markers. With the lighter colors, there was minimal to no ghosting. The markers were kind of scratchy on the paper and minor streaks. These markers get a rate of 9 out of 10 (9/10) in this notebook.
As far as using markers in the Amazon KDP notebooks, I would only use the fineliner side the Tombow and the Ohuhu markers. You could also use the brush side but lightly and only one pass to prevent heavy bleeding/ghosting. The Supertips also worked well in the notebook. If you do not care about being able to see writing through the back side of the paper (ex: you’re only writing on the front side) then use the markers I just mentioned.
